I didn't have time to post last night, therefore I'm posting this a a day late as this occurred yesterday (Fri 1/6/12).
I tried a T'ai Chi exercise class at Englewood Rec Center yesterday. T'ai Chi, originally developed in ancient China, is a form of exercise that uses gentle flow movements for stress reduction and to help with a variety of other health conditions. It is sometimes described as "meditation in motion" because it promotes serenity through gentle movements — connecting the mind and body. T'ai Chi is mainly practiced for self-defense and benefits to physical and mental health. It was a beginner class and went a little slow for me, but I'm willing to try it again next Friday.
