Today, since I am a Columbia customer, I received an email from them about their new app GPS Pal. I wanted to see what the app was all about so I downloaded the app to my Razr to check it out. Columbia Sportswear Company is a United States company that manufactures and distributes outerwear and sportswear. It was founded in 1938 by the late Paul Lamfrom, father of present chairperson Gert Boyle. The company is headquartered in Washington County, Oregon. Columbia Sportswear also produces footwear, headgear, camping equipment, skiwear, and outerwear accessories. GPS Pal gives you the ability to rapidly journal memorable outdoor experiences to enjoy and explore the outdoors freely. GPS PAL preserves your journey and your memories by capturing videos, photos, and notes to set GPS tags at favorite spots. Each tag will be saved to map your explorations. GPS Pal tracking lets you create your own trail at the touch of a button – tracking route, distance, time, pace and elevation. Easily create a mapped-out history filled with tags and trip data. Unfortunately, I downloaded it this evening after dinner so I am not going on any hikes right now to test it out.
