290th New Thing - Watched The Hangover Part II

We watched a movie entitled The Hangover Part II with Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, and Justin Bartha, that came out on May 26, 2011. American comedy film distributed by Warner Bros Pictures, and a sequel to 2009's The Hangover. Phil, Stu, Alan and Doug travel to exotic Thailand for Stu's wedding. After the unforgettable bachelor party in Las Vegas, Stu is taking no chances and has opted for a safe, subdued pre-wedding brunch. However, things don't always go as planned, resulting in another bad hangover with no memories of the previous night. What happens in Vegas may stay in Vegas, but what happens in Bangkok can't even be imagined. Despite receiving mostly negative reviews from critics, it became the highest-grossing R-rated comedy of all time.

I thought it was a ok, only a few parts were funny. The biggest problem was it was too similar to the 1st one (replace losing 1 friend with losing a brother-in-law, replace tiger with monkey, replace pulling own tooth with cutting off own finger, etc). IMDB gave it a 6.5 out of 10 and and I agree with that rating.

South Dakota  - June 2016 Laughing Water Restaurant in Crazy Horse Memorial (12151 Avenue of the Chiefs, Crazy Horse SD 57730) - get the Native American Taco, a type of Indian Fry Bread like Naan, with regular taco fixin's like ground beef, refried beans, cheese lettuce, tomato, onions, and topped with salsa and sour cream! For dessert, get the Fry Bread with Wojapi (warm berry sauce). Prairie Berry Winery (23837 Hwy 385, Hill City SD 57745) - Red Ass Rhubarb (semi-sweet rhubarb raspberry wine). 47th New Thing - Watched Laverne & Shirley

I watched a classic sitcom today from the 70s, Laverne & Shirley . The show aired on ABC from January 26, 1976, to May 10, 1983 and starred Penny Marshall as Laverne De Fazio and Cindy Williams as Shirley Feeney. They were roommates who worked in a fictitious Milwaukee brewery called "Shotz Brewery". The show was a spin-off from Happy Days, as the two lead characters were originally introduced on that series as acquaintances of Fonzie. I watched Season 7, Episode 22, "Perfidy in Blue" originally aired on May 11, 1982. This episode started out with Shirley looking for Laverne's favorite blue purse that she borrowed and lost. Laverne asks where it is because she would like to use it on her date. Shirley lies and says she hasn't seen it. Shirley then watches TV and daydreams that she is in the TV show and married.
