304th New Thing - Went to Rocky Mountain Bridal Show

I noticed that on The Knot there are local events to attend. There was an event today at the Colorado Convention Center called Rocky Mountain Bridal Show. I bought my ticket online to get a discount to pay $5. There were approximately 100 wedding exhibitors there in the Mile High Ballroom downstairs, from venues, to photographers and videographers, to bridal shops and tux rentals, to bakeries and flourists, to jewelry and make-up, to travel agents. I picked up a lot of brochures and information and received some magazines like Denver Life Weddings, The Colorado, Wedding Magazine, and Wedding Sites and Services. I entered to win some prizes and also sampled some food and snacks. I believe it was worth the $5 ticket.

NOLA - October 2018 PJ's Coffee (5432 Magazine St, New Orleans LA 70115) - Goal was The King Cake Protein Velvet Ice but apparently that was only seasonal around Mardi Gras. So I got a PJ's Original Cold Brew Iced Coffee instead. A chain but good stuff. Royal House (441 Royal St, New Orleans LA 70130) - Crawfish Benedict with a side of grits was very tasty. Parran’s Po-Boys & Restaurant (3939 Veterans Blvd, Metairie LA 70002) - Seafood Trifecta (1/3 fried shrimp sandwich, 1/3 fried oyster sandwich, 1/3 fried catfish sandwich *best*) dressed (mayo, lettuce, tomato). Chilly's Snoballs (3940 Veterans Memorial Blvd, Metairie LA 70006) - Sampled a few and then ordered 8oz Douberge and 8oz Wedding Cake from the drive-thru. South Dakota - June 2016 Laughing Water Restaurant in Crazy Horse Memorial (12151 Avenue of the Chiefs, Crazy Horse SD 57730) - get the Native American Taco, a type of Indian Fry Bread like Naan, with regular taco fixin's like ground beef, refried beans, cheese lettuce, tomato, onions, and topped with salsa and sour cream! 47th New Thing - Watched Laverne & Shirley

I watched a classic sitcom today from the 70s, Laverne & Shirley . The show aired on ABC from January 26, 1976, to May 10, 1983 and starred Penny Marshall as Laverne De Fazio and Cindy Williams as Shirley Feeney. They were roommates who worked in a fictitious Milwaukee brewery called "Shotz Brewery". The show was a spin-off from Happy Days, as the two lead characters were originally introduced on that series as acquaintances of Fonzie. I watched Season 7, Episode 22, "Perfidy in Blue" originally aired on May 11, 1982. This episode started out with Shirley looking for Laverne's favorite blue purse that she borrowed and lost. Laverne asks where it is because she would like to use it on her date. Shirley lies and says she hasn't seen it. Shirley then watches TV and daydreams that she is in the TV show and married.
