255th New Thing - Watched Kung Fu Panda 2

We watched a movie entitled Kung Fu Panda 2 with the voices of Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman, Jackie Chan, Seth Rogen, and Lucy Liu, that came out on May 27, 2011. It is a 3D American computer-animated action comedy film, produced by DreamWorks Animation. It is the sequel to the 2008 film Kung Fu Panda, in which Po, a Dragon Warrior, and his friends, The Furious Five, battle to stop a would-be conqueror with a powerful new weapon that will conquer China and destroy kung fu. The giant panda must discover a disquieting link to his past in the process to unlock the strength he needs to succeed. The film was nominated for the 2011 Academy Award for Best Animated Feature at the 84th Academy Awards. It is an interesting adaptation of the original Disney movie I saw so long ago. IMDB gave it a 7.4 out of 10 and and I would give it a 6.9 rating.

NOLA - October 2018 PJ's Coffee (5432 Magazine St, New Orleans LA 70115) - Goal was The King Cake Protein Velvet Ice but apparently that was only seasonal around Mardi Gras. So I got a PJ's Original Cold Brew Iced Coffee instead. A chain but good stuff. Royal House (441 Royal St, New Orleans LA 70130) - Crawfish Benedict with a side of grits was very tasty. Chilly's Snoballs (3940 Veterans Memorial Blvd, Metairie LA 70006) - Sampled a few and then ordered 8oz Douberge and 8oz Wedding Cake from the drive-thru. NOLA - October 2018 Café Du Monde (800 Decatur St, New Orleans LA 70116) - Café Au Lait and Beignets, only a 10 minute wait with some live music and well worth it! Commander’s Palace (1403 Washington Ave, New Orleans LA 70130) - Soups 1-1-1 (Turtle Soup, Creole Gumbo du Jour, Soup du Jour), Commander's Crisp Romaine Salad, and Creole Tostada; and, of course, a 25¢ Martini (does it really matter what kind!).
