7-Day Cleanse - Day 7

We started our cleanse today with the contents of 1 packet (4 pills) with breakfast and 1 packet (4 pills) with lunch with plenty of water. We also mixed a scoop of Super Defense Food powder in 8oz of water. Here is the rest of day 7 menu. Day 7 Menu: Breakfast - cantaloupe, walnuts, and oats  Snack - almonds  Lunch - turkey with mushrooms and tomatoes on a corn tortilla  Snack - grapes  Dinner - chicken (with garlic and asian seasoning), snap peas, water chestnuts, celery, onion, quinoa, and sweet potatoes  I also did 45 minutes of piyo at noon today. For this last day, overall I've been feeling pretty good, no bloating, cramps, stomach aches, or headaches. I feel lighter and more healthy. I recommend doing a detox once or twice a year. I'm not sure I buy into the pills though. A 7-day detox with the basic rules of no salt, no sugar, no wheat, no dairy, no caffeine, no alcohol, and no processed foods should suffice. 7-Day Cleanse - Day 6

We started our cleanse today with the contents of 1 packet (4 pills) with breakfast and 1 packet (4 pills) with lunch with plenty of water. We also mixed a scoop of Super Defense Food powder in 8oz of water. Here is the rest of day 6 menu. Day 6 Menu: Breakfast - half of an orange, pear, and almonds  Snack - cashews  Lunch - lettuce wrap with turkey, mushrooms, and tomatoes  Snack - popcorn  Dinner - polluck (with garlic, lemon, and pepper seasoning), cauliflower, kale, lentils, and onions  I also did 45 miles of yoga at noon today. Again, I've been feeling pretty good, no bloating, cramps, stomach aches, or headaches.

We started our cleanse today with the contents of 1 packet (4 pills) with breakfast and 1 packet (4 pills) with lunch with plenty of water. We also mixed a scoop of Super Defense Food powder in 8oz of water. Here is the rest of day 5 menu. Day 5 Menu: Breakfast - half of an orange, apple, raisins, and walnuts  Snack - cashews  Lunch - tuna with spinach, mushrooms, lentils, and tomatoes  Snack - grapes and blueberries  Dinner - chicken (with cilantro and crushed red pepper seasoning), corn, quinoa, pinto beans, green pepper, onion, avocado, lettuce, and tomatoes on a corn tortilla  I also did 45 miles of pilates at noon today. Again, I've been feeling pretty good, no bloating, cramps, stomach aches, or headaches.

7-Day Cleanse - Day 4

We started our cleanse today with the contents of 1 packet (4 pills) with breakfast and 1 packet (4 pills) with lunch with plenty of water. We also mixed a scoop of Super Defense Food powder in 8oz of water. Here is the rest of day 4 menu. Day 4 Menu: Breakfast - banana, cashews, almonds, oats, and soymilk blended into a smoothie  Snack - almonds and walnuts  Lunch - chicken in a salad with mushrooms, tomatoes, and sunflower seeds with oil & vinegar dressing  Dinner - shrimp (with dill and pepper seasoning), green beans, and sweet potatoes (with rosemary and pepper)  I also 3 miles this afternoon at 1pm. I've been feeling pretty good, no bloating, cramps, stomach aches, or headaches.

We started our cleanse today with the contents of 1 packet (4 pills) with breakfast and 1 packet (4 pills) with snack with plenty of water. We also mixed a scoop of Super Defense Food powder in 8oz of water. Here is the rest of day 3 menu. Day 3 Menu:  Breakfast - scrambled eggs, onion, green pepper, mushrooms, spinach, and lentils  Snack - broccoli and almonds  Dinner - chicken (with garlic and asian seasoning), snap peas, water chestnuts, celery, onion, and quinoa  We also did a lot of walking up and down stairs.

7-Day Cleanse - Day 2

We started our cleanse today with the contents of 1 packet (4 pills) with breakfast and 1 packet (4 pills) with lunch with plenty of water. We also mixed a scoop of Super Defense Food powder in 8oz of water. Here is the rest of day 2 menu. Day 2 Menu: Breakfast - banana, walnuts, and oats  Lunch - kale, mushrooms, tomatoes, and hard boiled egg with olive oil and vinegar dressing  Snack - snap peas  Dinner - salmon (with dill), zucchini, squash  I also did a 30 minute cardio workout at 6pm today. Overall, I was a bit hungry today before lunch and before dinner. I was also a bit tired.

We started our cleanse today with Michael's Ultimate Detox & Cleanse & Rebuild. We took the contents of 1 packet (4 pills) with breakfast and 1 packet (4 pills) with lunch with plenty of water. The 4 pills are for liver wellness, blood detoxification, fiber, and fat metabolism. We also mixed a scoop of Super Defense Food powder in 8oz of water. Here is the rest of day 1 menu. Day 1 Menu: Breakfast - apple, almonds, and raisins  Lunch - salad with mushrooms, tomatoes, and sunflower seeds with olive oil and vinegar dressing  Snack - baby carrots  Dinner - chicken (with garlic and italian seasoning), broccoli, and lentils  I also did a 45 minute boot camp workout today at noon. Overall, I was a bit hungry today before lunch and before dinner. I think I just need to buy more snacks.

7-Day Cleanse - Intro

A New Year's Resolution of ours is to detoxify our bodies. We decided to do a 7-Day Cleanse from January 2-8. It is a health plan aimed at cleansing the body of impurities and toxins. Many proponents of 7-Day cleanses say the ingredients used in the cleanse will purify the body. The benefit is giving your digestive system a rest. This is not a starvation diet, but rather a detoxification diet, eliminating incoming toxins to allow the body to rid itself of stored toxins. The cleanse includes nutritious, easy-to-digest foods like lots of water, fruits, vegetables, and brown rice. Herbs and spices can be added. You eat lots of green vegetables, such as spinach, broccoli, celery, kale, chard and beet greens, and fruit each day. The main focus of this diet is to provide great nutrition and eliminate all the foods that contain artificial ingredients or pesticide/herbicide residue, and foods that are difficult to digest or have a tendency to cause sensitivity or allergies.
