362nd New Thing - The Coffee Nook

I bought a $ 6 Groupon to The Coffee Nook for $12 worth of coffee and food. So we went there for breakfast this morning. The Coffee Nook is a coffee and sandwich shop centrally located in Glendale across from Infinity Park. It was started in 2009 by a woman who wanted to develop a model for single moms in business. It is now on its 4th owner, Deanne, who had the dream of getting out of the corporate world and starting her own small business. They offer coffee, hot and cold beverages, pastries, breakfast burritos, snacks, quesadillas, grilled cheese sandwiches, paninis, and more with indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered a 12 oz Caramel Macchiato $3.00, 12 oz Flavored Latte with Irish Cream $3.25, Croissant (sausage, egg, and cheese) $3.00, and a Breakfast Burrito (sausage, egg, cheese, potatoes, and green chilis) $3.00. Everything was very pretty good. What did you do today?

248th New Thing - Ate Andy's Country Breakfast

We went out for brunch today at 730 South Bar & Grill in the Bonnie Brae neighborhood. 730 South is a neighborhood restaurant bar and grill that offers large portions at very reasonable rates, that is locally owned and operated by Larry Herz since 1999. 5280 Magazine called attention to the "eclectic American comfort food served in a friendly neighborhood atmosphere". We've been to 730 South for brunch a couple years ago and it was very good and reasonably priced. So wh en I saw a Travelzoo Local Deal for 730 South I jumped on it. T he deal was $19 Brunch for 2 with Endless Mimosas (valued at $40).  We started with 2 mimosas, bottomless mimosas. They ha ve award winning eggs benedict on Saturdays and Sundays so that is what I had, I believe it was a special for the day, called Andy's Country Breakfast. It was 2 poached eggs on biscuits with bacon and country gravy. It was served with potatoes and fruit. Matt ordered the South of the Border Breakfast Burrit...

24th New Thing - Ate at Highland Tap

I met up with a couple WVU friends for brunch this morning at Highland Tap & Burger . I had a couple mimosas and a breakfast burrito while watching the Steelers (won) vs Bengals, Broncos (won) vs Chiefs, and Falcons (lost) vs Saints games. This was also my 1st time in LoHi (Lower Highlands). The Highlands is a neighborhood in Denver with many trendy restaurants, bars, and shops. It is located a few miles northeast of downtown Denver.
