44th New Thing - Watched Survivor

Survivor is a reality TV game show broadcast on CBS since 2000. It is the American version of the Swedish TV series, Expedition Robinson. The show hosts a group of people in a desolate location. They are formed into tribes. The people must provide food, water, fire, and shelter for themselves, while competing in challenges to earn either a reward, or an immunity from expulsion from the game by votes for elimination. The winner of the game wins a million dollar prize. The show has been very successful as it is rated amongst the top ten most watched shows. The series has been nominated for several Emmy Awards, including winning for Outstanding Sound Mixing in 2001, Outstanding Special Class Program in 2002, and subsequently 4 times for Outstanding Reality-Competition Program when the category was introduced in 2003. Jeff Probst has won the award for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality-Competition Program 4 consecutive times since the award was introduced in 2008.

I watched this for the 1st time. I watched Survivor South Pacific, episode 9 from season 23, Cut Throat, which originally aired 11/9/11. There were 2 immunity challenges and 2 tribal councils. In the 1st challenge, the castaways filled a tube with coconut water. For the 2nd challenge, the players tried to balance a ball on a bow while standing on a thin plank. In the 2nd challenge, the could choose to participate for immunity or choose to opt out and enjoy sweets. There was also a lot of talking to strategize who to try to keep and eliminate. Both Ozzy and Jim were sent to Redemption Island. I would have to say I'm still not a fan of the show Survivor.

111th New Thing - Took a Zyrtec

If you recall, I went to the dermatologist to get a skin screening for the 1st time back in December. When I was there, the doctor did a biopsy of 1 of the moles on my back (which came back as normal, by the way). The area was healing pretty well until about 2 weeks ago. The area around the wound started getting bigger instead of smaller and oozing. Therefore, I went back to my doctor to check it out. She said I was having an allergic reaction to something, probably the Neosporin . She gave me some new ointment, Vanos , and said I should take Zyrtec until the area starts to get better. Vanos (fluocinonide) Cream is indicated for the relief of the inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of corticosteroid responsive dermatoses in patients. Best results are seen if used twice per day. Zyrtec (cetirizine) is an antihistamine that reduces the effects of natural chemical histamine in the body. Histamine can produce symptoms of sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and runny nose. Zyrtec can be u
