227th New Thing - Watched Yogi Bear

I didn't have time to post last night, therefore I'm posting this late as this occurred yesterday (Sun 6/3/12).

We watched a movie entitled Yogi Bear with Dan Aykroyd (voice of Yogi Bear), Justin Timberlake (voice of Boo-Boo), Anna Faris, and Tom Cavanagh, that came out on December 17, 2010. It is an American live-action film adaptation of the Hanna-Barbera cartoon series The Yogi Bear Show. Yogi is a talking brown bear who enjoys stealing picnic baskets from visitors to Jellystone Park. The movie is about a Mayor that decides to shut Jellystone Park down and sell the land. That means families will no longer be able to experience the natural beauty of the outdoors. Yogi must prove that he really is "smarter than the average bear" as he and Boo Boo join forces with their old nemesis Ranger Smith to find a way to save Jellystone Park from closing forever. It's a kid's movie but I thought some parts were entertaining. IMDB gave it a 4.3 out of 10 and I would give it a 5.5 rating.

NOLA - October 2018 PJ's Coffee (5432 Magazine St, New Orleans LA 70115) - Goal was The King Cake Protein Velvet Ice but apparently that was only seasonal around Mardi Gras. Parran’s Po-Boys & Restaurant (3939 Veterans Blvd, Metairie LA 70002) - Seafood Trifecta (1/3 fried shrimp sandwich, 1/3 fried oyster sandwich, 1/3 fried catfish sandwich *best*) dressed (mayo, lettuce, tomato). Chilly's Snoballs (3940 Veterans Memorial Blvd, Metairie LA 70006) - Sampled a few and then ordered 8oz Douberge and 8oz Wedding Cake from the drive-thru. NOLA - October 2018 Café Du Monde (800 Decatur St, New Orleans LA 70116) - Café Au Lait and Beignets, only a 10 minute wait with some live music and well worth it! Commander’s Palace (1403 Washington Ave, New Orleans LA 70130) - Soups 1-1-1 (Turtle Soup, Creole Gumbo du Jour, Soup du Jour), Commander's Crisp Romaine Salad, and Creole Tostada; and, of course, a 25¢ Martini (does it really matter what kind!).
