81st New Thing - Played College Bowl Mania

This winter, I decided to play ESPN's College Bowl Mania with some friends. You sign up for an account and and group, then pick the winner of each of the 35 college bowl games. Then you rank the games in the order of your confidence in those picks from 35 points all the way down to 1 point. My strategy was to pick the teams that I liked, Big East teams, or the team with the better record. The 1st game was on December 17. Highlights of my picks include WVU beat Clemson 70-33 where I received 27 points, Baylor beat Washington 67-56 for 34 points, and Cincinnati beat Vanderbilt 31-24 for 33 points. My win percentage was only 44.7% whereas a majority of others in the group had 90%. Today was the last bowl game, Allstate BCS Championship Game, Alabama vs LSU, where Alabama won 21-0. Therefore, the College Bowl Mania game is now over. My group had 9 players and I came in 8th place. Matt came in 1st place. Our group all threw in $10 each, winner takes all ($90), sounds like Matt should be taking me out to a nice dinner!

What did you do today?

111th New Thing - Took a Zyrtec

If you recall, I went to the dermatologist to get a skin screening for the 1st time back in December. When I was there, the doctor did a biopsy of 1 of the moles on my back (which came back as normal, by the way). The area was healing pretty well until about 2 weeks ago. The area around the wound started getting bigger instead of smaller and oozing. Therefore, I went back to my doctor to check it out. She said I was having an allergic reaction to something, probably the Neosporin . She gave me some new ointment, Vanos , and said I should take Zyrtec until the area starts to get better. Vanos (fluocinonide) Cream is indicated for the relief of the inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of corticosteroid responsive dermatoses in patients. Best results are seen if used twice per day. Zyrtec (cetirizine) is an antihistamine that reduces the effects of natural chemical histamine in the body. Histamine can produce symptoms of sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and runny nose. Zyrtec can be u
