98th New Thing - Avery

I came across 2 new Averies today.

I went to the dentist today for a routine visit. I went to University Park Family Dental to see Avery Lopez. This dentist has a very new and modern practice with high-tech machines and tools. I had an initial oral examination which included a visual examination, charting, periodontal probing, diagnosis and treatment recommendations. I also had x-rays, which included the panoramic x-ray for proper diagnosis of the anterior (front) and posterior (back) teeth as well as the bite-wing x-ray series for proper diagnosis of proximal decay of posterior teeth. He recommended I refill my old silver/metal fillings with the new white fillings.

Later on in the evening, I had Avery Brewing Co's India Pale Ale. Avery Brewing Co is based in Boulder CO since 1993. They brew more than 20 different beers. This IPA has a extra hops and increased alcohol content (6.5%). It has a citrusy, floral bouquet and the rich, malty finish.

158th New Thing - Tried Sweet Potato Popchips

While we were at Albertsons doing our weekly grocery shopping, there was a lady there giving away free sample bags of Popchips so I took a sample of their Sweet Potato flavor. I had my 0.8 ox bag of Sweet Potato Popchips today with my lunch. Popchips were founded in 2007 in San Francisco as a healthy alternative to traditional potato chips. They aren't fried or baked, but popped by taking potatoes and adding a heat and pressure. They have won awards such as 'Best Snack' from Shape Magazine and 'Best Chips' from Health Magazine. My 0.8 oz bag had 100 calories, 3g fat, 95mg sodium, 16g carbohydrates, and 2g sugar. They had a slightly salted and sweet flavor in the airy chip.
