169th New Thing - Watched Couples Retreat

I didn't have time to post last night, therefore I'm posting this late as this occurred 2 days ago (Fri 4/6/12).

We watched a movie entitled Couples Retreat with Vince Vaughn, Jason Bateman, Jon Favreau,Malin Akerman, Kristen Bell, and Kristin Davis, that came out on October 9, 2009. The film is directed by Peter Billingsley (Ralphie in A Christmas Story). It is comedy about a couple who are having difficulties in their marriage so they would like to go to a island resort (shot in Bora Bora) with their friends that offers marriage counseling. The troubled couple convinces them to go on this relaxing vacation. Little did the couples know that the counseling was mandatory for each of them. It was a hilarious look at real world problems faced by all couples. It was a funny movie and the one couple's son (Colin Baiocchi) was soooo cute! IMDB gave it a 5.4 out of 10 and I would give it a 7.4 rating.

158th New Thing - Tried Sweet Potato Popchips

While we were at Albertsons doing our weekly grocery shopping, there was a lady there giving away free sample bags of Popchips so I took a sample of their Sweet Potato flavor. I had my 0.8 ox bag of Sweet Potato Popchips today with my lunch. Popchips were founded in 2007 in San Francisco as a healthy alternative to traditional potato chips. They aren't fried or baked, but popped by taking potatoes and adding a heat and pressure. They have won awards such as 'Best Snack' from Shape Magazine and 'Best Chips' from Health Magazine. My 0.8 oz bag had 100 calories, 3g fat, 95mg sodium, 16g carbohydrates, and 2g sugar. They had a slightly salted and sweet flavor in the airy chip. It was a good snack with my lunch. NOLA - October 2018 PJ's Coffee (5432 Magazine St, New Orleans LA 70115) - Goal was The King Cake Protein Velvet Ice but apparently that was only seasonal around Mardi Gras. So I got a PJ's Original Cold Brew Iced Coffee instead. A chain but good stuff. Royal House (441 Royal St, New Orleans LA 70130) - Crawfish Benedict with a side of grits was very tasty. Parran’s Po-Boys & Restaurant (3939 Veterans Blvd, Metairie LA 70002) - Seafood Trifecta (1/3 fried shrimp sandwich, 1/3 fried oyster sandwich, 1/3 fried catfish sandwich *best*) dressed (mayo, lettuce, tomato). Chilly's Snoballs (3940 Veterans Memorial Blvd, Metairie LA 70006) - Sampled a few and then ordered 8oz Douberge and 8oz Wedding Cake from the drive-thru. Toups Meatery (845 N Carrollton Ave, New Orleans LA 70119) - Boudin Balls to go Mother's Restaurant (401 Poydras St, New Orleans LA 70130) - Ham, Jambalaya, Red Beans & Rice Other snacks ...

South Dakota - June 2016 Laughing Water Restaurant in Crazy Horse Memorial (12151 Avenue of the Chiefs, Crazy Horse SD 57730) - get the Native American Taco, a type of Indian Fry Bread like Naan, with regular taco fixin's like ground beef, refried beans, cheese lettuce, tomato, onions, and topped with salsa and sour cream!
