201st New Thing - Went to Vinue

I've kinda recently sorta began dappling into maybe imagining of starting to think about opening my own retail store, perhaps, haha. Obviously, it is just a thought that I would like to consider sometime in the future. So I reached out to a DU MBA alumni that owns a retail store for some background, help, advice, and ideas on running your own business. She suggested we go to Vinue Food and Wine Bar in Cherry Creek, down the street from her store for happy hour. Vinue offers a world wine tasting experience set in a warm inviting atmosphere and small plates of food. Vinue caters 68 different wines from around the globe including champagne, ports, and dessert wines They offer a very unique experience by allowing the guest to self sample all our wines in 3 different amounts, 1.5oz, 3oz, and 6oz, all of which are dispensed in portion-controlled pours using the Enomatic wine system that range from $2.75 to $19 for 1.5oz, depending upon the wine. Vinue also had house wines on happy hour special for $5 so I had a Sauvignon Blanc. I will have to be more adventurous next time I go to Vinue to taste wines from around the world. My meeting went well; there is a lot to consider to start my own business. I need to define my business plan, research retail locations, obtain financing, amongst other things.

What did you do today?

111th New Thing - Took a Zyrtec

If you recall, I went to the dermatologist to get a skin screening for the 1st time back in December. When I was there, the doctor did a biopsy of 1 of the moles on my back (which came back as normal, by the way). The area was healing pretty well until about 2 weeks ago. The area around the wound started getting bigger instead of smaller and oozing. Therefore, I went back to my doctor to check it out. She said I was having an allergic reaction to something, probably the Neosporin . She gave me some new ointment, Vanos , and said I should take Zyrtec until the area starts to get better. Vanos (fluocinonide) Cream is indicated for the relief of the inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of corticosteroid responsive dermatoses in patients. Best results are seen if used twice per day. Zyrtec (cetirizine) is an antihistamine that reduces the effects of natural chemical histamine in the body. Histamine can produce symptoms of sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and runny nose. Zyrtec can be u
