261st New Thing - Went to Chatfield State Park

I didn't have time to post last night, therefore I'm posting this a day late as this occurred yesterday (Sat 7/7/12).
Some friends of ours were going to Chatfield State Park on Saturday so we met them there as well. Chatfield State Park is a state park established in 1975, located in Douglas and Jefferson counties of Colorado. It offers boating in the lake, bicycling or hiking on a trail, scenic views of the neighboring foothills and Platte River valley, camping, horse riding, and model airplane flying. There is a fee of $8 per car for a Daily State Parks Pass required for all motor vehicles entering the park. We met our friends at 1:30pm on the northeast side in the dog training area where you can let your dog run off its leash and swim in the pond. Then we drove down to the west side to set up our site with chairs, games, drinks, and snacks. We set up for about 15 minutes when it began to downpour and we quickly ran to our cars. That was my 1st time to Chatfield State Park. I hope to enjoy the park sometime again soon as it seems to have a lot of potential!

111th New Thing - Took a Zyrtec

If you recall, I went to the dermatologist to get a skin screening for the 1st time back in December. When I was there, the doctor did a biopsy of 1 of the moles on my back (which came back as normal, by the way). The area was healing pretty well until about 2 weeks ago. The area around the wound started getting bigger instead of smaller and oozing. Therefore, I went back to my doctor to check it out. She said I was having an allergic reaction to something, probably the Neosporin . She gave me some new ointment, Vanos , and said I should take Zyrtec until the area starts to get better. Vanos (fluocinonide) Cream is indicated for the relief of the inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of corticosteroid responsive dermatoses in patients. Best results are seen if used twice per day. Zyrtec (cetirizine) is an antihistamine that reduces the effects of natural chemical histamine in the body. Histamine can produce symptoms of sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and runny nose. Zyrtec can be u...

361st New Thing - Tried on Wedding Dresses

I didn't have time to post the last night, therefore I'm posting this late as this occurred yesterday (Mon 10/15/12). My friend and I went to David's Bridal last night to try on some wedding dresses. I looked on their website a few months ago to get a feel of the type of dresses I like. There are 6 styles: Classic & Traditional, Chic & Modern, Elegant & Luxurious, Glamorous & Dramatic, Destination, and Reception. I like Classic & Traditional the best. There are 5 silhouettes to choose from: A-Line, Ball Gown, Mermaid/Trumpet, Sheath, and Short. I like A-Line the best. I'm considering straps or strapless. It took about 1.5 hours to try on 5 dresses. I liked 2 of the dresses I tried on, both were under $350. My goal is to find one under $200. Here is one of the 'favorites' that I saw online. It is hard to tell if I would or wouldn't like it on myself. What did you do today?
