272nd New Thing - Went to Water World

I didn't have time to post last night, therefore I'm posting this a day late as this occurred yesterday (Wed 7/18/12).
After our northwest vacation, we wanted to take 1 more vacation day before going back to work so instead of sitting around and relaxing we went to Water World in 1 of Denver's suburbs. Water World claims to be 1of America's largest family water parks as it sits on 64 acres. They opened in 1979 with the first 2 water slides in the state of Colorado and now boast over 46 water adventures. They have been rated as 1 of America's top 10 water parks by the Travel Channel. It was a good park and fun day but I beg to differ about the largest and top 10. I enjoyed Mountain Creek Waterpark in NJ and Blizzard Beach Water Park in FL much better. We did a Mid-Day at Water World from 1:45-6:00pm for $21.99 + tax. We rode Revolution, Skyline Speed Slides, Turbo Racer, Mile High Flyer, Prank Tank, Thunder River, Voyage to the Center of the Earth, and Storm. I guess my favorite was Mile High Flyer. It is the 1st hydromagnetic watercoaster in the Rockies!

111th New Thing - Took a Zyrtec

If you recall, I went to the dermatologist to get a skin screening for the 1st time back in December. When I was there, the doctor did a biopsy of 1 of the moles on my back (which came back as normal, by the way). The area was healing pretty well until about 2 weeks ago. The area around the wound started getting bigger instead of smaller and oozing. Therefore, I went back to my doctor to check it out. She said I was having an allergic reaction to something, probably the Neosporin . She gave me some new ointment, Vanos , and said I should take Zyrtec until the area starts to get better. Vanos (fluocinonide) Cream is indicated for the relief of the inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of corticosteroid responsive dermatoses in patients. Best results are seen if used twice per day. Zyrtec (cetirizine) is an antihistamine that reduces the effects of natural chemical histamine in the body. Histamine can produce symptoms of sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and runny nose. Zyrtec can be u...

361st New Thing - Tried on Wedding Dresses

I didn't have time to post the last night, therefore I'm posting this late as this occurred yesterday (Mon 10/15/12). My friend and I went to David's Bridal last night to try on some wedding dresses. I looked on their website a few months ago to get a feel of the type of dresses I like. There are 6 styles: Classic & Traditional, Chic & Modern, Elegant & Luxurious, Glamorous & Dramatic, Destination, and Reception. I like Classic & Traditional the best. There are 5 silhouettes to choose from: A-Line, Ball Gown, Mermaid/Trumpet, Sheath, and Short. I like A-Line the best. I'm considering straps or strapless. It took about 1.5 hours to try on 5 dresses. I liked 2 of the dresses I tried on, both were under $350. My goal is to find one under $200. Here is one of the 'favorites' that I saw online. It is hard to tell if I would or wouldn't like it on myself. What did you do today?
