326th New Thing - Drank Green Tea Triple Echinacea

Tea is a beverage made by soaking cured leaves of the of the Camellia Sinensis Plant in water. Tea is the 2nd most consumed beverage in the world (water is the 1st). The largest producers of tea are China, India, Kenya, Sri Lanka, and Turkey. Tea is said to provide antioxidant properties and therapeutic applications.

I’m feeling a little under the weather still so I wanted to drink some good herbal tea to help my immune system and prevent further getting any sickness. My co-worker is an avid tea drinker and has a variety of tea flavors. She had a Yogi tea box of Green Tea Triple Echinacea. Yogi Tea Company began in 1984 with packages of the rough, dried spices appearing in natural foods stores throughout Southern California. As demand increased, the spices were more finely ground, packaged and sealed into individual tea bags. By 1986, Yogi Tea was distributed nationwide in 3 flavors. Yogi has continued to expand and evolve tea offerings to address specific health needs by creating specialized herbal formulas, blended for both flavor and purpose. Today, Yogi has over 60 tea blends, many of which are created using the five original Yogi spices. Yogi teas are available in atural, grocery and mass market stores in the US and Canada. Green Tea Triple Echinacea is made with Green Tea Leaf, Lemongrass, Spearmint Leaf, Echinacea Root, Kombucha, Natural Flavors, and Elderberry Extract. Health practitioners for centuries have respected the powers of Echinacea. Green Tea Triple Echinacea is specifically formulated with traditionally used herbs to support your immune system, including 3 varieties of Echinacea Root. They complement this herb with Elderberry, used in European traditional medicine for centuries for its immune-suporting properties and support of the respiratory system. Organic Green Tea supplies antioxidants, while Lemongrass and Spearmint add a bright, refreshing flavor. Enjoy Green Tea Triple Echinacea throughout the day to support your well-being. I enjoy this tea with a little sweetener.

111th New Thing - Took a Zyrtec

If you recall, I went to the dermatologist to get a skin screening for the 1st time back in December. When I was there, the doctor did a biopsy of 1 of the moles on my back (which came back as normal, by the way). The area was healing pretty well until about 2 weeks ago. The area around the wound started getting bigger instead of smaller and oozing. Therefore, I went back to my doctor to check it out. She said I was having an allergic reaction to something, probably the Neosporin . She gave me some new ointment, Vanos , and said I should take Zyrtec until the area starts to get better. Vanos (fluocinonide) Cream is indicated for the relief of the inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of corticosteroid responsive dermatoses in patients. Best results are seen if used twice per day. Zyrtec (cetirizine) is an antihistamine that reduces the effects of natural chemical histamine in the body. Histamine can produce symptoms of sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and runny nose. Zyrtec can be u

364th New Thing - Ate a Mini Lemon Bites

My co-workers birthday was today so to celebrate they bought her a vanilla cake, a chocolate cake, and mini lemon bites from Costco . I had some chocolate cake and a mini lemon bite. These are made by Upper Crust Bakery . They supply Sam's Club, Starbucks, Costco, Kroger, Whole Foods, and BJ’s Wholesale Club. Both desserts that I ate tasted good. According to the Livestrong Calorie Tracker , 1 mini lemon bite is 130 calories, 19 g carbs, and 1 g protein. What did you do today?
